How we scoreVerdict
Editorial VerdictOne of the more convincing dealcoholized reds in the cellar: dark berries and savory spice, real tannin, and a dry earthy close. Not heavy — but it drinks like a southern French blend, not juice.

Tasting notes
-
Nose
Blackberry and dried cherry with pepper and herbs — savory before it is sweet.
-
Palate
Dark berries and tart cherry over savory spice. Dry through the middle; the tannin is gentle but present.
-
Finish
Dry, gently tannic, and earthy — fruit fades into spice and soil rather than sugar.
The wine
Pepper and herbs arrive before the jam. Blackberry and dried cherry sit on a savory line — the nose already argues for dinner, not dessert. That is rarer than it should be in dealcoholized red.
The sip keeps the argument. Dark berries and tart cherry over savory spice; dry through the middle, with gentle tannin that actually grips. It is not a heavy Saint-Chinian, and the alcohol weight is gone, but the earthy frame holds. Fruit does not turn sticky. The finish is dry and earthy — tannin and spice after the berry, not sugar.
Pour it cool, not cold. Too chilled and the pepper mutes; too warm and the mid-palate softens. Likeness is high for the category: a lighter southern French blend with usable tannin. Depth of old-vine Carignan at full strength is not here. Dry berry, savory spice, and a gently tannic close are — and that is enough to keep the glass at the table.
How to drink it
Cool room temperature or a short chill, in a standard red-wine glass.
