What The Dry Standard collects, why, and how to reach the editor about it.
Updated 20 September 2026.
The Dry Standard is an independent editorial site. It does not sell visitor data, run advertising networks, or keep reader accounts. Questions: privacy@drinkdrystandard.com.
What you send us
The product submission and partnerships forms collect the fields on those pages: typically a name, email, organization, product details, and a message. A hidden honeypot field is ignored except to discard spam. Direct email to the address above is treated the same way.
We use that information to reply, to consider a product for the editorial queue, and to handle business inquiries. Submissions are not published automatically, and they are not sold.
A copy is stored in a private inbox on the site host. Another copy is emailed to drinkdrystandard@gmail.com, which is hosted by Google under Google’s privacy policy. Public addresses on drinkdrystandard.com (hello@, industry@, press@, privacy@, editor@, and any other alias) are forwarded to that same Gmail inbox. The forms are rate-limited, which briefly records the requesting IP address to blunt spam.
We keep correspondence as long as it is useful for a reply or an editorial record. Write if you want a record corrected or deleted.
Cookies
Most pages do not set a session cookie. The industry forms use a short-lived session cookie so the form can be submitted safely (CSRF protection). There is no advertising cookie and no login cookie.
Visits
The site may record named on-page events in the browser — for example opening a review or a “where to buy” link. Those events do not include form fields or message text. No third-party analytics product is wired up.
The host may keep ordinary web logs (IP address, browser, pages requested) for security and operations. Outbound retailer and producer links leave this site; those destinations have their own policies.
Samples
We do not publish a receiving address. If a sample is useful, shipping instructions go out by email. A parcel you send is for independent tasting, not a public listing of your contact details.
