Tasting notes

  1. Nose

Pear and yellow apple with citrus and vanilla — orchard fruit first, oak as a soft frame.

  2. Palate

Creamy and balanced, lightly oaked. Pear and apple hold; vanilla rides the middle without turning syrupy.

  3. Finish

Bright, with toasted oak carrying the close.

The wine

The oak shows most on the way out. Bright fruit gives way to toasted oak — not a butter bomb, not a candy fade. That toasted close is what keeps this Chardonnay in a wine register.

Pear and yellow apple lead the nose with citrus and vanilla. Orchard fruit first; oak soft around the edges. The sip is creamy and balanced, lightly oaked through the middle. Pear and apple stay clear; vanilla rides without turning the glass syrupy. Mouthfeel has enough cream to fill the space alcohol usually occupies, without pretending toward a heavy California barrel pour.

Serve it chilled, not iced — too cold and the cream mutes; too warm and the oak fattens. Likeness is good: Chardonnay cues without generic NA white softness. Depth of a serious Napa oak Chardonnay is not here. Creamy balance and a bright toasted finish are, and that is enough for the table.

How to drink it

Chilled, not ice-cold, in a white-wine glass.
