The wine
Cuvée Sparkling Zero is the bubbly sibling of Valckenberg’s Zero Riesling: a German cuvée vinified conventionally, then dealcoholized to 0.0%. The Zero line confirms removal; the named industrial technology stays unpublished. Soft bead, not traditional-method prestige.
On the nose, elderberry and lemon — fruit-forward and fresh without confectionery noise. The palate is fine mousseux, semi-dry, and lighter than alcoholic Sekt, but the bubbles are real and keep the fruit from collapsing into soda. Mouthfeel is all soft lift. The finish is clean and gently citric.
This is the casual Zero-line sparkling option, not a brioche argument — cleaner than most supermarket NA fizz, and clear about the tier. Serve well chilled. For Mosel still Riesling in the same house, see Zero Riesling; for ginger and bitter orange on a dealcoholized Riesling chassis, see It’s not a SIN.
