The wine
Seebrich’s alcohol-free Sauvignon Blanc is a Rheinhessen wine from an estate in Nierstein. On the producer’s own list it is one line, an alcohol-free Sauvignon Blanc, set apart from Niersteiner Sauvignon Blanc Réserve, which is a barrel-aged wine and not this bottle.
The 2025 listing shipped from the estate puts the alcohol at 0.5% and the sugar at 35 grams per liter, feinherb, with 7 grams of acid and 19 kilocalories per 100 ml. It names stainless steel. A retailer transcription calls the process dealcoholization and lists rectified grape must put back, plus carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide. No machine is named. Returning the must does not make a second wine. It stays a dealcoholized Sauvignon Blanc.
A retailer transcription of the label adds the cellar detail the estate page skips: the wine was dealcoholized, rectified grape must went back in, and the bottle carries carbon dioxide and sulfur dioxide. Acid on the 2025 listing is 7 grams per liter. The élevage named there is stainless steel, and the bottle is marked vegan. Must put back after removal is ordinary for this kind of wine. It does not turn the Sauvignon Blanc into something else. The producer prints no flavor line for this bottling. Nothing here has been tasted.

Research notes
The front label reads Seebrich, Sauvignon Blanc, alkoholfrei, and Familie, verankert in Nierstein. It does not print a percent, and it does not use Niersteiner as the wine’s name. The only line there is “Alkoholfreier Sauvignon Blanc Wein.” That page also lists Niersteiner Sauvignon Blanc Réserve, a separate barrel-aged wine, and it is not marked alcohol-free. Its process field says Entalkoholisierung. A shop note that names a vapor method is not used. Producer flavor copy for this bottling is not printed. This page has no tasting.

Where sources disagree
Sources disagree on the following points.
- ABV: The 2025 WirWinzer listing prints 0.5%. Honest & Rare’s specification table also prints 0.5, while the prose on that page says less than 0.5% by volume. The record uses 0.5%.
- Ingredients: Honest & Rare lists dealcoholized Sauvignon Blanc, rectified grape must concentrate, carbon dioxide, and sulfur dioxide. The 2025 WirWinzer listing lists grapes, sulfur dioxide, and carboxymethylcellulose, and does not say the wine was dealcoholized.
- Sugar: WirWinzer calls the 2025 feinherb at 35 g/L. Honest & Rare prints 3.5 g sugar per 100 ml, which is the same concentration, and labels the taste dry.
- Product: The pasted name was Seebrich Niersteiner Sauvignon Blanc. On the producer site, Niersteiner Sauvignon Blanc Réserve is a different barrel-aged wine. The alcohol-free bottling is listed as sauvignon blanc alkoholfrei. The winery is in Nierstein.

- Production
- Retailer process field says Entalkoholisierung and the ingredient line starts with dealcoholized Sauvignon Blanc. The producer page does not name a removal step, so verified stays no.
