The beer

Asahi Dry Zero is formulated as an alcohol alternative from Japan. The base is a wort-free formulation — no full-strength beer is produced and then stripped. Asahi’s own R&D documentation describes it as a non-alcohol beer-like beverage built from unfermented ingredients and flavor compounds.

The Japanese approach to 0.0%: engineered rather than brewed — refreshing, precise, and unmistakably not-beer to a beer drinker. Serve very cold, from the can.
