Tasted scores run 82–84.
Three Märzen lagers have been tasted. Samuel Adams Non-Alcoholic OctoberFest scored 84. Best Day Brewing Oktoberfest and Go Brewing Damn Good Oktoberfest both scored 82, so they sit together.
Samuel Adams is the fuller malt glass: toasted bread, caramel, a medium body, and enough bitterness to hold the sweetness. Best Day is a convincing Märzen held at a quieter volume. Go Brewing is the lighter lager, toasted malt and grain, short of the richer Märzen weight.
All three clear 80, so each is on Best nonalcoholic beer. Pumpkin ales are a separate style. Fall beer lists both. Scores are tasted. How we score.
