Zero Moscato
65/100
The short takeBarely enough fruit to register as Moscato. The wine feels diluted and water-like, with less flavor concentration than grape juice and almost no structure to carry it.

In the glass
-
Nose
Faint white grape and diluted peach, with just a trace of pear. The aroma is so subdued that the fruit barely outlines Moscato.
-
Palate
A little white grape and diluted peach appear, but the flavor is nearly absent. There is little sweetness or acidity to shape the fruit, and the extremely thin, watery body gives the palate almost no texture or support.
-
Finish
Very short and nearly immediate: the faint grape and peach disappear without leaving much behind, then the glass is gone.
How wine-like is it?
The faint grape and peach suggest Moscato, but the water-like body and near-absence of flavor give it little wine character.

The wine
The finish is the clearest measure of this Moscato’s problem: it disappears almost as soon as it arrives. A faint note of white grape and diluted peach gives the aroma a loose outline of the variety, with a trace of pear behind it. None of the fruit rises far above that faint first impression.
On the palate, those same flavors are so washed out that the wine feels more diluted than delicate. There is little sweetness to give the peach and grape roundness, and little acidity to lift them or provide shape. The body is extremely thin and watery, with almost no texture to slow the sip or suggest a wine-like middle. It comes across with less flavor concentration than grape juice, leaving the few fruit notes to do all the work.
That makes the glass easy to finish, but not especially refreshing: there is too little flavor or structure to create momentum. The brief close offers no late return of fruit, just a quick fade. Moscato can be light and still feel generous; this one barely gives its fruit room to register. It may suit someone looking for the faintest hint of grape, but it is a poor choice for anyone expecting an aromatic, softly sweet white with a recognizable Moscato character.
Who it’s for
Not for readers seeking a fragrant, fruit-forward Moscato; the flavors barely register.
