Research record

Cataloged from sourced facts. Not tasted or scored.

The wine

Rib0 Sparkling is a dry French sparkling white whose supplied producer sheet names Muscat and Sylvaner. Cave de Ribeauvillé documents conventional fermentation followed by three to six months on fine lees before alcohol removal.

The producer describes cold vacuum distillation at 28–30°C, followed by carbonation at five bars of CO2 and rectified concentrated must for taste balance. Those additions make Hybrid the most precise production classification.

The supplied technical sheet declares less than 0.5% alcohol, 3.0 g residual sugar per 100 ml, and 16.5 kcal without specifying the energy serving basis. The current producer webpage and U.S. importer sheet describe Muscat only, so that formulation difference remains explicit rather than silently reconciled. This is a research record; no Dry Standard tasting or score is assigned.

How to drink it

Serve at 4–6°C (producer technical sheet).

The bottle

Research notes

Carbonation and must addition support the Hybrid classification. Total acidity is printed as 3.5 g/L expressed as H2SO4. Producer sensory and pairing copy is retained only in the source and is not used as Dry Standard tasting evidence.

Where sources disagree

Sources disagree on the following points.

  • Base beverage: The supplied Cave de Ribeauvillé technical sheet controls this record as a Muscat–Sylvaner blend; the current producer page and U.S. importer sheet may describe a newer or market-specific Muscat-only formulation.
  • Serve: The supplied producer technical sheet controls this record; the current producer webpage’s warmer recommendation remains documented.
