Record
N.A.R.C. Lime & Sea Salt is Resident Culture’s lime-and-salt lager from Charlotte, North Carolina. The brewery says the N.A.R.C. line is brewed with a specialized low-alcohol yeast, a mash meant to limit fermentable sugars, and a short ferment, then pasteurized in the finished can.
It has not had a firsthand Dry Standard tasting. Aroma, palate, balance and finish remain unassessed, and this profile carries no score.
The bottle
Specialized low-alcohol-producing yeast; grain bill and mash designed to limit fermentable sugars; fermentation often one to two days; ABV confirmed in brite tank; pasteurized in the finished package (producer process copy, 2026-10-28). The copy mentions that some breweries remove alcohol after fermentation or dilute; it does not say Resident Culture does either.
Research notes
Hazy IPA; that tap line does not print N.A.R.C. in the heading captured here. The same tap list names Island Time as the full-strength Mexican-style lager with lime. Producer flavor copy (bright, zippy, zesty lime, Island Time) stays here and is not a Dry Standard tasting.

- Availability
Producer shop, listed as nationwide shipping (collection page, 2026-10-28). One 6-pack was marked backordered on the product page that day. Also listed on the Charlotte taproom on-tap and to-go board as a 0.5% lager with lime and sea salt. House process copy says NA beer is rarely served on draft and that every N.A.R.C. release is pasteurized in its final package. WCNC’s 12 January 2024 launch report said NARC IPA and Lager were poured on draft, sold as singles and 12 oz six-packs at Plaza Midwood and South End, and would reach select Harris Teeter, Whole Foods, and Lowes Foods.

Where sources disagree
Sources disagree on the following points.
- ABV: The shop prints Less than 0.5% ABV. The Charlotte tap list prints 0.5% on the lime-and-sea-salt lager. The public line uses the shop ceiling. 0.5 is not treated as an exact residual.
- Availability: House process copy says NA beer is rarely served on draft. The Plaza Midwood board still listed the lime-and-sea-salt lager on tap and to go on 2026-10-28. WCNC’s January 2024 launch report also named draft at Plaza Midwood and South End. Both claims stay on the record.
