The beer

Founders Nonetheless Golden is the brewery’s first non-alcoholic beer: a lager-inspired golden from Grand Rapids, sold at 0.5% ABV on the producer beer page.

Founders brews a full beer, then removes alcohol with concentration equipment that also takes water and reconstitutes the liquid — process described by the brewmaster, machine unnamed. Malt and hop lines on the beer page are pale, crystal, flaked corn, and Lemondrop. The Dry Standard has not tasted this can; producer sensory copy stays off the editorial tasting fields.

Where sources disagree

Sources disagree on the following points.

  • ABV: The producer beer page fact table prints ABV 0.5%. The 10 Dec 2025 Founders press release says Nonetheless Golden has less than 0.5% ABV. This record uses the product-page 0.5% figure and keeps the press ceiling claim unresolved.
