Where sources disagree

Sources disagree on the following points.

  • Product: The wines index captions this bottle Blanc de Blanc Sparkling, Alcohol Removed. The product page title is Alcohol Removed Sparkling. The shop listing is Alcohol Removed Sparkling Wine. The label reads Sparkling Wine and Alcohol Removed, and does not say Blanc de Blanc. The wholesale spec sheet says the wine is meant to replicate a Blanc de Blanc. On Instagram the winery called it a new non-alcoholic sparkling inspired by the bright, crisp flavor of their Blanc de Blanc. That caption does not say this bottle is the alcoholic Blanc de Blanc with the alcohol taken out.
  • Method: The producer says the alcohol is removed by spinning cone, and that the bubbles are direct carbonation (force carbonation), with no secondary fermentation. The wholesale spec sheet, file-dated 28 August 2026, says the wine is bottled by the Charmat method and does not name a removal machine.
  • ABV: The wholesale spec sheet prints ABV <0.5%. The winery shop listing prints Alcohol 0.01%. The producer does not know an exact alcohol, only that it is less than 0.5% ABV as labeled.
  • Sugar: The wholesale spec sheet prints residual sugar 22 g/L and also says 20 grams of sugar per bottle. The sheet does not give a fill volume beside the 20 gram line.
  • Availability: The shop page says the wines are only available from the winery and are not sold in stores. A comment on the producer Instagram, from the account papalouwineandspirits, says Now at papalouwineandspirits. That shop was not opened.
