The wine

Orange peel, tea, and a little stone fruit open the glass. It sits nearer a skin-contact white than a pale rosé. The tannin is light, and the aroma is not a cocktail orange.

The palate has more texture than most alcohol-free California whites. There is less of the oily weight a full-strength amber would carry, and the body stays light. What remains is the grip of the skins and a dry line through the middle. It is not sweet.

Dry and short at the end. That shortness is the limit. The interest is earlier: orange peel and tea that read as wine, stone fruit in support, and a tannin you can find if you look. Serve it cool, not iced. Iced, the tea goes quiet and the texture is all that is left.

Drink it when you want the shape of an orange wine and do not need the wine to linger. It is more interesting than a pale, sweet alcohol-free white. It is not a long finish, and it does not pretend to be.

Trust the tannin. It is light, and it is what separates this from a scented white that only has sweetness to offer. Next to something salty, the orange peel and tea have a job. On its own, the short finish is the whole last act.
