The drink

Build it over ice with a large orange peel even though the can is ready-to-drink — the pour is when this spritz makes sense. Bitter orange peel and rhubarb sweetness meet light floral top notes as it hits the glass; fine bubbles keep the bittersweet split lively instead of flat and syrupy. The peel wakes the orange; the ice keeps the soft bead from turning soft-drink sweet.

In the mouth the balance holds: orange citrus lifts the mid-palate, rhubarb trails just a beat behind, and neither syrup weight nor a liquorice botanical hangover shows up.
